Counselling can enable the changes needed to lead a more enjoyable life. Whether you need a short term block of sessions to explore a particular issue, or to work longer term, it can make a huge difference to your happiness, relationships and quality of life.

Some people think they have to experience a major traumatic event before seeing a counsellor. In fact, there are so many reasons why someone might decide to come to counselling. You may not even know what the matter is, but just feel unhappy or stressed. I can help you work out what might be troubling you, even if you’re not sure yourself, and then help you think about ways forward.

Maybe you are suffering from depression or anxiety. Perhaps there are difficulties in your relationships. Stress, bereavement, family breakdown, infertility and unemployment, are examples of the painful challenges that many of us face. Whilst family and friends can be a good support, some people find it helpful to talk to a counsellor who is not personally involved.

Couples counselling is a form of therapy that looks to improve communication and resolve issues within an intimate relationship.
